A - Z Reflections Post

I discovered the A-Z challenge only days before it started. I thought to mainly do the challenge for my devotional blog but then at the last moment decided I could do this one as well.

How I managed this one was by using the blogger scheduling tool. I spent a day putting together the posts for this blog and then set them to post on the appropriate days. It worked well for this blog since I was able to make the focus my past mosaic projects and was able to come up with something that worked for each letter and include a very short description.

I gotta say I loved the comments that people left and that I have gained some new fans and followers. I have primarily used this blog to share my current projects with family and friends but my audience has grown a bit as a result of the A-Z challenge.

I really enjoyed the A-Z challenge and look forward to doing it again in future years. With a bit of pre-planning I could probably manage it with a couple other of my blogs as well.

I did not do as well at visiting other blogs but I am continuing to work through the list and trying to leave comments. I found posting comments to word press blogs to be frustrating because I have an old word press blog that I hardly use and it kept trying to link back to that. I may have to go delete that blog. I really like blogger even though I have many friends that just think Word Press is the cats meow.  I did try to leave comments at most blogs if I did not have to go through too many layers of
protective measures.   Turn off those word verifications things - really, they are obnoxious.

I guess I could see the A-Z expanding to reach out to various interest groups. There seem to be a lot of writers. I would have loved to have found more artists, photographers, homeschoolers  etc. doing the challenge. Perhaps if there were sub groups when one signed up for the challenge it would help to connect people in particular fields of interest.  2000+ links is a massive number to try and visit in a month particularly when you are already trying to keep up with the posting schedule.
Maybe sub categories like  Art Blogs,  Music Blogs, Science Blogs, Writers Blogs, Random Blogs

Anyway I hope this blog will some how serve as an example to other artists that they could use the A-Z challenge to show case some of their art work, build a following and find that they can regularly post about their projects.

I decided after the A-Z challenge to continue posting to this blog just about daily. I'm always working on some project. So why not post about my process and share what I'm doing each day.

I would say in conclusion that the A-Z challenge was awesome and I loved it, and will talk it up and challenge others I know to participate next year.

Blessings, Margot
