Z for Zomething Different

Ok well I admit to stretching things a bit on this one. This is however my most recent big project called The River. It has nothing to do with mosaics but everything to do with creativity and inspiration.

I wanted to create a interactive hands on prayer and worship experience. This is how it turned out.

The river is a 9 foot long sand box built in our prayer loft at First Covenant Church in Spokane.
It is filled with 400 lbs of sand and then river rocks with things to pray about written on one side. There are also glass gems that have bible promise verse locations to look up in your bible. They are like little treasures hidden in the sand.

There are also candles to light and beautiful banners to add a flowing river like back drop to the project.

I had a vision that grew into an idea and I presented it in staff meeting and they said I could do it. So I had one month to complete the project. Probably should have had two because it took every spare minute and lots of multi tasking to get it done on time.

Not sure what my next project will be after Blogging A -Z. If you enjoyed these posts leave a quick note.

Thanks for following along its been fun to come up with projects for each letter of the alphabet.

Blessings,
Margot
