River Walk Update #2

I probably should have just waited and included this with the previous post.

Since I have never been to San Antonio and not seen the River Walk. We started by searching the internet for River Walk photos. I then took the parts that we liked from various photos into Photoshop and and combined all the little elements to create this final design.

The Face of Sunshine - Makes me smile.
Interestingly the face of the sun is a combination of a sun and the face of Eleanore's adorable grandchild. It was a great idea that she had and I'm glad it worked. I was able to take the sun shape that we liked and make part of it transparant so that the babies face would shine through.

I then took all the combined elements and tried them using various photoshop filters to get the painted look that I hope to achieve.

We have sent ideas back and forth by e-mail. She has sent me photos that she liked and I have found ones that I liked and together we have come up with this design.
I've divided the design into 7x7 squares that if I've done the math right will make up the complete 28 x 28 project.  I kind of like the mosaic like effect the squares create but in the final project you won't see the individual squares they will flow seamlessly together.

So the next step is to go shopping for supplies but that will be tomorrow.

What a neat project and I think that you have captured the River Walk in San Antonio perfectly! Don't know if you have seen any pics with the Christmas lights in December - but that makes the River Walk absolutely magical during long winter nights!

Hopping by from the A to Z Challenge. Here are my posts - hope you have a chance to stop by! Love your site!
