This is a game called "Nine Mens Morris" or "Mill".Having played it quite regularly with my youngest son, it is simple to see why it has stood the test of time. The game can be traced back to ancient Egypt.
I have yet to grout this board - can't quite decide what color to use. On one hand I don't want to loose the detail or make it too busy looking.
The object of the game is to create Mills (3 marbles in a row) Each time you do you capture one of the other guys marbles. Very fun - takes a bit of strategy to win.
